Join DiviniTree as we dive into the path of yoga in our 200 HR Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program. This training is an immersion into the heart of yoga, and an exploration into the philosophy and practices of yoga. Whether you are interested in becoming a yoga teacher, or seeking to deepen your yoga practice, this training will guide you into a deeper understanding of yogic philosophy and yogic practices.

8:30-10 morning sadhana and practice

10-11 welcome circle! – what brought you here? What does yoga mean to you? Meet the tribe

10:30-12:00 philosophy – yoga intro- a history of yoga and a discussion of the yoga diaspora in the postcolonial world

12:00-1:15 lunch

1:30-3:00 technique training: tadasana, Dandasana, Virabradrasana 2, Adhomukha- down dog

3:00-3:30 – teaching/methodology: Take care of ourselves before we teach others: yogic daily self care morning and night ritual, and the importance of nourishing ourselves. Learn simple techniques for self care.

3:30-3:45 break time

3:45- 5:00 pranayama/mantra nadi shodhana, ida and pingala, balancing the masculine and the feminine within ourself – ujjayi breathing

 

8:30-10 morning sadhana and practice with Magnolia- Ground, then open your upper chest and shoulder girdle.

10-11 philosophy – Introduction to Ayurveda- the history of ayurveda- the science of longevity and an exploration of the three doshas and how to identify and balance their energetics

11-12 lunch

12-1:30 technique training: vrksasana, bhujangasana, urdvadhanurasana, pashimotanasana

1:30-2:30 – teaching/methodology: Discussion on the qualities of a great teacher- applicable to teaching any subject, and qualities of a great yoga teacher

2:30-2:45 break time

2:45- 4:15 pranayama/mantra: Breath of fire, gyan mudra, Chin mudra

4:15 – 5 Thai massage: a juicy sequence with hip openers and spinal twists

8:30-10 morning practice with 10:15-morning snack time

10:30-12:30 philosophy – samkhya- (the creation of consciousness) and Ayurveda- techniques for balancing our consciousness and practical ayurvedic herbs for life: an introduction to the main herbs used in Ayurveda and how to incorporate them into your life

12:30-1:30 lunch

1:30-3:00 technique training – trikonasana, ardhachandrasana, sukhasana, vajrasana

3:00-3:30 – teaching/methodology finding your voice- toning excercises and NLP techniques to empower your speach

3:30-3:45 break time

3:45- 4:30 pranayama/mantra: Kumbhaka- the retention of breath- Puraka and Rechaka- how holding fullness and emptiness can transform our practice and our life

8:30-10 morning practice- with Magnolia: Cleanse, detoxify, heal- an exploration of Agnisaura and the bandhas with a fun detox flow.
10:15-morning snack time
10:30-12:00 philosophy – 8 limbs of yoga-  the Yamas and Niyamas- how to live a yogic life
12:00-1:15 lunch
1:30-3:00 technique training – Vira 1, Parsvottanasana, Crescent warrior, Warrior 3
3:00-3:30 – teaching/methodology:  A breakdown of the bandhas- the energetic locks and how using them will make you fly on and off the mat
3:30-3:45 break time
4:00- 4:30 pranayama/mantra: sithali, sukhari, sat kriya

Journey to Nature

We will spend the day among the Los Padres Hills, connecting with the nature spirits.  Part of the day will be spent in silent walking meditation, part of it with chanting, and part in themed discussions with a walking partner.  Because our forests are our cathedrals: Yoga and Ecology is a vital part of the DiviniTree curriculum- what better place to focus on this crucial topic?  Yoga Activation: How can we take our yoga off the mat and create cultural change? A discussion and opportunity to use our voice to speak our intentions with a supportive community. Those who are journeying on for the whole training set their intentions for their yoga activation project!

Her classes are uplifting, creative, inspiring, and full of wisdom. She lives and breathes yoga and community, and is committed to helping yogis on the path of awakening to live more authentic lives that are in harmony with the earth.

I believe that yoga is for everyone and that we all benefit from reconnecting with our breath, bodies and authentic sense of purpose and being in the world. My approach to yoga is “come as you are” this practice is meant to meet and transform you where you are at in your own physical, mental, and spiritual life.

I have been cultivating my own practice for nearly a decade and began my training as a yoga instructor at Samadhi Yoga Center in Seattle, Washington. I combine dynamic anatomical alignment with mindful mantra, spiritual awareness, and energetic function. My classes are both physically active and a deeper unification of the mind and body– they’ll help you get out of your head and into this moment! Aiming for balance, optimal health, peace of mind, and fun! I assist students through challenging, fun, interesting yoga classes with the belief that yoga is a unique experience for everyone!

I dabbled in yoga for years until I found myself all wound up in stress and worry that I HAD to do something. I went back to yoga. I remember a deep sense of letting go and unwinding in every moment. This profound shift inspired me to take a yoga teacher training to learn more, that changed everything. I can’t wait to share it with you!

Yoga is my bliss and sharing it is my dharma (purpose in life). I can’t wait to share it with you!

Founder of Source Yoga in Santa Barbara Ca, Nicole Inglish; teacher in the 8 limbs of Yoga and trainer RYT 500, E-RYT 200, loves to share the freedom and ease that a daily yoga practice brings. Her 18 year practice is a safe, spirited, naturally therapeutic atmosphere, emphasizing the use of breath, long slow stretches, self-massage and bio-dynamic alignment. We play, investigate, allow space, challenge edges, and learn to listen; caring for and creating the unfolding of our body’s specific needs. Nicole is best known for supporting folks in listening to their own inner cues as their ultimate authority in well-being.

She offers private personally designed for you one on one sessions, as well as group classes, workshops and teacher trainings. Nicole is a certified Yoga Therapist, Thai Yoga Bodyworker, a Master Reiki Practitioner, and Astrologer. She also received a B.A. in Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and draws much inspiration from reading and writing. She thanks all her teachers; Erich Schiffman, Saul David Raye, Master Pischet Boonthumm, Jennifer Freed, Marshall Rosenberg, Pema Chodron, Adyshanti, and Swami Vidyadishananda for guiding her along this path. She credits her parents, Jeff and Carole, for gifting her integrity, dedication and unconditional love. Along with yoga, she loves dancing on the beach, body surfing, rock climbing, writing, singing and cooking using the freshest ingredients from the local farmer’s market. Nicole is devoted to truth, awakening and freedom of all beings.

I am proud to be a part of this training to provide insights into the complex and enlightening world of astrology, as well as guidance into the business of yoga. Far beyond your weekly newspaper, we will get into a world of astrology that has fascinated some of the most intelligent people on this planet for thousands of years. I’ll be doing individual chart readings for each participant and helping those in the program learn how to follow and use this precious information form the stars. We will end with some best practices and tips to help you get started in the yoga world, businesswise.

Rachel’s classes weave together the core centered refinement of Pilates, the intuitive movement of dance and the vigor of Ashtanga with the nurturing and healing energy of Thai massage. With a focus on alignment, she creates a space for freedom and play that balances strength and control with complete surrender. Her breath centered classes celebrate our edges, strengths and vulnerabilities, while encouraging self-exploration and honoring our own experience of mind, body and spirit. Inspired by her studies in philosophy and religion, dance and fine art, Rachel creates an accessible practice space that is at once meditative, invigorating, ecstatic, grounding and spiritual. Be fierce, be free and get your practice on yogis!

Magnolia discovered yoga at the age of 16, and it was love at first class!

Magnolia began teaching in 2003, and has traveled the world studying various styles of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Tantra, and Prenatal. Her studies have guided her throughout India, Thailand, Mexico, Bali, and the U.S. She is drawn to the practice yoga not only for the asana (physical) benefits, but for the greater way of life that yoga encompasses. Non-violence, compassion, awareness, mindfulness, acceptance, and connection to all Beings.

As a yoga instructor, Magnolia utilizes the physical as a means for deeper exploration into the subtle energies at play in our lives. She aims to guide her students towards a state of physical strength, inner harmony, and self transformation through the practice of yoga. She encourages her students to cultivate a deeper awareness of their physical body, while simultaneously expanding the awareness between mind, body and spirit.

Sebastian Hansen

Sebastian Hansen

Learned transcendental meditation and given personal mantra from parents at age 5.  Grew up working in family greenhouse and florist. Certified Massage Therapy 650 hours at Kishwaukee College. Certified Hypnotherapy 350 hours at American Academy of Hypnotherapy.  Has taught Reiki for ten years.  400 hour Ayurvedic consultation training with American institute of Vedic Studies. 100 hour Thai Massage certification with Sunshine School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Certified Laughter Leader with Madan Kataria’s school of Laughter Yoga. Permaculture designer certification in Hawaii with Aloha Aina.  Has had 5 years farming exotic fruits and herbs on family farm on Big Island.  Also enjoys making herbal elixers and medicated oils from fresh plants from the farm.  Wildcrafter Certification training with Earth Medicine Institute on Maui.  Alchemy apprentice with Dennis WIlliam Hauck.  Currently enrolled in Healing Sounds correspondence course with Jonathan Goldman and studying Herbal Alchemy with Robert Bartlett.

Chyla was always drawn to yoga and when she moved to Aspen, Colorado in 2008, things finally fell into place. Her first housemate was a yoga teacher and became her personal mentor. Chyla learned how yoga can transform the mind, body and soul and she couldn’t wait to dig deeper. During the winter of 2011, Chyla received her 200-hour Power Vinyasa certification in Aspen, CO where she gained incredible first hand experience.

Yoga is a never ending journey in connecting to the authentic self. Chyla’s classes will challenge you to push to your edge and surrender to the beauty of the unknown. Music was Chyla’s first vehicle of change, so you can guarantee each class will bring you her freshest mix to orchestrate the flow. Her intention is to empower each person to connect to their authentic Self and shine their light, not only for themselves, but as a beacon of light for anyone who needs it.
